Hamilton Grange National Memorial

Hamilton Grange National Memorial

Hamilton musical fans— what about a trip uptown to visit Alexander Hamilton’s home during your visit to NYC? It’s not super quiet, but we still think you’ll like it (sorry, couldn’t help myself). Tours are available on one historically furnished floor of The Grange. They are 25 minutes in length and are first-come, first-served. See their website for the latest tour times—they’re offered between 3 and 5 times daily.

Location:

414 West 141st Street (between Convent and St. Nicholas Avenue)

Hours:

The Visitor Center is open Wednesday-Sunday, 10am-4pm

Food-wise, Sugar Hill Cafe is a few blocks away & a nice spot for lunch with kid-friendly eats before or after you step back in time (& maybe hum a show tune or two). And if you’re a fan of The Royal Tenenbaums, the house where they filmed the movie is nearby, too, at 339 Convent Avenue at West 144th Street.
