The Museum of Broadway
Attention Broadway fans: The first permanent museum dedicated to all things Broadway is open! The Museum of Broadway is located right off Times Square, and it’s just phenomenal. During your visit, you’ll learn about the history of The Great White Way, from where it originated (wayyy downtown) to its many transformations over the years (the first Broadway musical began in 1857!).
From the Ziegfeld Follies to Hamilton, you’ll see pristine costumes, artifacts & entire sections designed & dedicated to some of Broadway’s biggest shows (Oklahoma, West Side Story, Phantom of The Opera, & more)— oh, and there are plenty of interactive Instagram-able moments along the way, too. A must for young theater lovers (as is the gift shop, which you’ll walk through first upon entering- tons of awesome Broadway-themed gifts and souvenirs to bring home)!
